A Memphis man is charged with selling marijuana products to a minor from his business in New Madrid. According to the New Madrid Police Department, 27 year old Akram Hajran was arrested without incident at his business, New Mad Smoke, and taken to the Mississippi County Jail. He’s charged with delivery of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid to a person less than 17 years of age.
According to the PD, a search warrant was served at the business last month and an arrest warrant was issued March 6.
The New Madrid City Council revoked his business license; that decision has been appealed.
Hajran’s arraignment is scheduled for April 14.
