Two small earthquakes were recorded in New Madrid County Tuesday. The first, according to the University of Memphis Center for Earthquake Research, was just before 1:30 a.m. west of Howardville. The magnitude was 1.8.
A 1.9 magnitude quake happened just after 10 p.m. north of Marston.
