The City of Kennett is warning citizens to beware of out of town contractors who are contacting people about storm repairs. Per city ordinance, all tradesman must obtain a city license that includes evidence of a $100,000 insurance policy. There is no charge for business licenses in Kennett.
The city encourages you to be on the lookout for those trying to do business without a license.
