A Hayti man faces additional charges stemming from an incident Tuesday night in which he fought with police trying to arrest him, led them on a chase, and allegedly rammed his car into patrol vehicles.
According to Hayti PD, 27 year old Austin Morgan faces charges of assault – second degree – special victim (Class B Felony), two counts of attempted assault – 2nd Degree – special victim (Class C Felony), three counts of property damage first degree (Class E Felony), two counts of aggravated fleeing a stop or Detention (Class D Felony), and three counts of resisting/interfering with a felony arrest (Class E Felony).
Morgan was arraigned yesterday and is held with no bond in the PCJC. He’ll be back in court Thursday.
