Kennett Mayor Optimistic About Future Hospital

The Missouri Legislature set aside $10-million in the next state budget to help lure a hospital to Kennett. State Senator Jason Bean says that has already brought interest from some health care providers, and the state money could lead to more funds from other sources.

In a recent interview, I asked Mayor Jake Crafton if it’s appropriate for state tax payers to invest in a Kennett health care facility?

Crafton realizes that citizens have heard this a lot since 2018, but he’s more optimistic than ever that Kennett will get a new hospital sooner rather than later.
