PIGGOTT – Annmarie Kelly-Harbaugh, of Cleveland, Ohio, has been selected as the writer-in-Residence at the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center (HPMEC) in Piggott.
“The residency will allow Kelly-Harbaugh the opportunity to live and work in the community of Piggott for a month, sharing her knowledge and experience with local writers and working on her own writings,” said Shannon Williams, director of HPMEC.
She is the author of “Here Be Dragons: A Parent’s Guide to Rediscovering Purpose, Adventure and the Unfathomable Joy of the Journey.” She is currently working on her next book about the truth that can be found in lies people tell.
Kelly-Harbaugh teaches writing at Ashland University where she also works with incarcerated students trying to obtain their degrees.
Kelly-Harbaugh will serve as writer-in-residence from Saturday, June 1, through Sunday, June 30. She will also be a mentor at a writers retreat from Monday to Friday, June 17-21.
Registration for the retreat is currently open through the museum.
