Hornersville Farmers and Merchants Host “2018 Biggest Watermelon Competition”

As part of its 60th anniversary, Hornersville Farmers and Merchants Club brought back the “2018 Largest Watermelon Contest” – after a three-decade absence.

Bro. Paul Moore took home first place with his watermelon weighing in at 151 pounds.

2nd and 3rd place watermelons tied at 117 pounds and were grown by Mr. Maddox Moore and his sister Ms. Reese Moore.

The melons will be auctioned off; the proceeds will benefit the Delta Children’s Home.
