Did you know October is Disability Awareness Month?

Join us on Tuesday, October 10, at the Caruthersville Public Library located at 707 West 13th St., in Caruthersville, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

The Bootheel Transition Planning Team, in recognition of National Disability Awareness Month, and in collaboration with MPACT, County Disability Resource Center (New Madrid/Pemiscot); Bootheel Area Independent Living Services (Kennett Mo.); Missouri Department of Mental Health (Sikeston Mo.); along with Parents of youth with special needs, have organized this special evening to raise awareness on various topics that surround youth and individuals with disabilities.

Our goal is to bridge the gap between parents, schools, and disability resources for our youth.

A light meal will be provided to those who preregister.
